MULF SEASON 3

Posted by hasnt on December 24, 2015 at 2:20 PM Comments comments (0)

A new year, a new MULF.  2016 marks the year of the MULF. Season 3 is here and ready to be the best yet. With only three teams (Nevada Noodles, Portland Pinecones, Seattle Streetbaggers) the stakes are even higher. Although all three teams make the playoffs, the leading record will account for a first round bye and a ticket to the championship. The draft occured as follows:

First Round:

1. Arshia Yousefian (Seattle Streetbaggers)

2. Kushaal Tadepalli (Nevada Noodles)

3. Adam Brooks (Portland Pinecones)

Second Round:

1. Rake Jifkin (Portland Pinecones)

2. Will Stonich (Nevada Noodles)

3. Saahil Mehta (Seattle Streetbaggers)

The Noodles and Streetbaggers seem to have come out the strongest with two of the best players in MULF with their first round picks. Pinecones players already are beginning to tell fans and other franchises not to sleep on them as their roster looks very familiar to that of their very lackluster season one. Good luck to all this upcoming season and remember.

Jacob being a threat

Posted by chingleerice on May 17, 2013 at 8:55 PM Comments comments (0)

At first, players thought Jacob Roub was a joke to MULF. Now, he is becoming a threat on the court and a potential Rookie of the Year. Teams now have to hassel and start making a game plan to stop Jacob. Jacob is not a very tough, gritty player, but he hangs in their and can shoot accurately.

Donkeys out for playoffs

After losing to the Noodles 18-14, the Denver Donkeys are officialy knocked out of playoff conntention. So... the question is.. what do they play for now? For pride? For Fun? For Stats? The question still remains, and Mark is considering quitting the rest of the season to play peg. The Donkeys can not repeat their championship from last season.

Long break in MULF

Posted by chingleerice on May 10, 2013 at 12:00 AM Comments comments (0)

There has been a three day break in action for MULF. Is the lenghty break what the players needed though? For some it could be a time of resting their tired and aching body parts, but for others they can get rusty and lose their touch. Some players did not want to be rusty so they participated in some pick up games and Ching of the Hill. Others spent time resting and chilling out with their cronies. We will soon find out if the long break improved the player's stamina or take a toll on their game.

Abundance of technical fouls lately.

Posted by chingleerice on May 6, 2013 at 8:00 PM Comments comments (0)

In the past games tempers had flared with the players being angry and emotional at the referees and line judges. Conor O'Kelly has had 3 technicals, Mark Peneff has had 3 techincals as well, and Ryan Lee has had 2 technicals. Players who have been getting technical fouls have been very emotional lately. They have to be aware of getting to the magic number of 5 technicals. If they get 5, they get suspended for one game.

Noodles beat the rival Pinecones

Posted by chingleerice on May 6, 2013 at 8:00 PM Comments comments (1)

The Nevada Noodles beat the rival Portland Pinecones 14-13. The Pinecones pleaded that it should have been 13-13 at the end of regulation, but the refs did not budge. Referees Gio Hester, Arshia Yousefian and Line Judges Tim Nguyen, Saahil Metha, and Kushaal Tadepalli called the game over after the clock ticked zero. Portland is still very upset and angry at the refs. Mark obtained his third technical foul to tie Conor with the most technical fouls throughout the season.
